African Methodist Episcopal
We at St. John reaffirm weekly the Great Commandments to "love the Lord our God with all of our hearts souls and minds, and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind. As such, with regard to the directives given us by our Episcopal Leadership and as well the wise counsel of Public and Health Authorities, in-person worship services are currently in suspense. The doors of the church are closed but the church is and has remained open. We continue with Zoom Church school and live worship on Sunday mornings via virtual interface and Bible Study on Wednesday evenings via the same. We offer a "drive-up" offering in which you will not have to "tarry long" in order to "bring your tithe," as well as the option of online giving via our Givelify link ("Online Giving tab above). Please be safe and prayerful during this transitional time. God is working all things together for good during this season, which will soon pass. While we may need to be physically distanced, let us resolve and commit to remain as socially connected as ever, if not even more so during this time.
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. JOHN 15:5 NIV

Saint John African Methodist Episcopal Church is a member of the West Tennessee Annual Conference of the 13th Episcopal District of the A.M.E. Church. We have been at our current location since 2009, worshiping independently since 1929, but with roots as far back as 1864! We embrace our legacy and heritage as they, bolstered by God's faithfulness, have allowed us to become who we are today, but we are firmly committed to keep the charge to fulfill the calling "to serve this present age"!
